Challenging Yourself

While life can be hectic and all we want is to relax on our days off, this is the time to push yourself forward. What are your goals? What can you do to take one step forward today? Maybe today is the day to Google what education you need for that dream job or how to be organized.

The first step to challenging yourself is to over come the urge to put things off. Procrastination is our worst enemy. Try dedicating one hour to achieving one mini goal. Make that phone call or do that research today. Accomplishing that mini goal not only gets you one step closer to the end result but you will feel a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Setting mini goals will allow you to feel the progress you are making and will help guide you along your journey. Think about the goal/result that you would like to achieve. How do you get there? What is the process or steps that you need to take in order to reach your goal? Once you have that information you will want to create a time line. Setting a time to have each step accomplished will keep you on track and also help to hold yourself accountable. This process can alleviate some of the couch potatoe syndrome that we all fall pray to.

Remember to stay positive when life gives you hiccups; we all deal with setbacks. Readjust your plan accordingly and keep pushing forward. You've got this!
