Give yourself some credit, even if you haven't achieved that big goal yet. We can all be a little critical of ourseleves at times. Asking questions like, "Why can't I do this?" or "Why won't this work?". Take a moment to think of all of things that you have done up to this point in your life and give yourself some well deserved recognition. Be proud of all of the little things you have acheived.
Being able to be proud of one's self is important to our self esteem. Giving yourself a nice pat on the back for a job well done, or realizing that you finally made head way towards that goal is important to your own self worth. How can you be a cheerleader for someone else but not for yourself.
Don't take yourself so seriously. Don't become an ego manatic but acknoweldge that you have moved forward to a better you. Keeping track of your progress is important. You need to be able to see that you have moved forward on that road map to success that you spent so much time creating. Tracking your progress is a way to keep pushing yourself forward.
So remember to give yourself a little credit. Be proud of yourself and do not be afraid to share this joy and excitment with those that you love. You can always have a little celebration when you reach your milestones.
Side note: We are our own worst enemies. Be sure to let your accountability buddies know if you are struggling to complete or overcome a goal or if you need advice to move past the next minigoal in your plan to success. There are times when you feel stuck or don't know what to do next. Do not be afraid to open up and ask for help; that in itself is an accomplishment to be recognized. It's your journey and only you can control its direction. Be proud of yourself and all that you are doing. You've got this!
